Innovative Technology response to Covid-19
Innovative Technology has released a special article to our audience where they tell how the company faced the pandemic so far.
Covid-19 has affected every corner of the globe. When worldwide lockdowns began, here at ITL, like many other organisations, we had to confront difficult challenges and plan for a very uncertain immediate
future. Every one of our offices and factories around the world has faced challenges. All of us have had to make changes to help us come through this situation and keep the business moving. Here is a summary of our business response to the pandemic to date.
Production of PPE: Face visors and masks
Most of the UK workforce was placed on the government furlough
scheme at the end of March but with the help of a handful of remaining
employees we changed the focus of our production line at the UK head
office into suppling much needed PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
for health care professions across the UK.
The production of face visors, which have been approved by BSI with
certificate number CE 729069, were initially donated to local care homes
and GP practices. They are now available on our webshop to assist
frontline healthcare staff, first responders and other personnel involved
in the efforts to contain the COVID-19 virus and avoid its further spread.
In addition, we have supplied disposable protective face masks for the
general public which are also available from our webshop.
ICU – Face Covering Detection
Across many European countries face coverings (including face masks) are
mandatory on transport and in shops and strongly advisable for members o
the public in enclosed spaces where social distancing is not possible. Our
Intelligent Identification facial recognition and age verification technology (ICU) now includes face covering detection. ICU can detect face coverings and reject entry if not worn or allow entry if detected. This product is ideal for transport, retail or medical applications to ensure safe access.

CashGenic – making cash transactions safer
In response to the Coronavirus, we have created CashGenic the hygienic cash automation kit for retailers to take cash payments in a safe,
hygienic and affordable way.
Whilst the World Health Organisation, Head of the Health Department Germany, The Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR), ECB and many other organisations said there is currently no evidence to confirm that COVID-19 can be transmitted through coins or banknotes, many retailers are strongly advising other forms of payment. By utilising our CashGenic solution you can assist those customers who still want to use cash payments to do so safely.
A kit that provides everything you need to make cash transactions safer, CashGenic is affordable, easy to use and does not take a lot of time or investment to install with no software integration required. Utilising
intelligent note and coin recyclers from us, CashGenic protects both staff and customers; enabling social distancing during cash transactions while eliminating the need for staff to handle cash. All you need to do is simply power and fill the recycler device. We are delighted to have developed a partnership with CC Dynamic who will supply the full box including our kit to UK customers. We are also working with several OEM’s in Europe who can supply the complete machine for customers who cannot obtain it from their usual payment systems supplier.
The system is suitable for many applications including convenience stores, bakeries, butchers, pharmacies and petrol stations. Visit us for more information.
ITL Operations: Global offices
Whilst we continue to take all of the necessary steps to stop the spread of the Coronavirus we have remained operational and available for customer orders and queries throughout the pandemic. We are processing and dispatching orders and our main reception and technical support numbers are manned and operational. Local sales contact around the globe are all working and available for any queries our customers may have.
At head office we have been busy putting plans in place for when all staff can safely return to work. Safety measures being introduced include creating one-way systems, socially distant break out areas and staggered breaks times. We look forward to getting back to normality, even if it is a ‘new normal’ and with the help of our customers we will get through these challenges together.
