Illinois Senate calls for report on potential igaming tax revenue

The Illinois Senate will discuss a bill calling for a report on how much tax revenue the state would have received from igaming if a privilege tax had been passed in 2020.

US.- A report on potential tax revenue from igaming could be launched in Illinois under a bill filed at the state’s Senate.

Senate Resolution 285 would call for a report on how much money the state would have made should a privilege tax had been introduced back in February 2020.

The report would investigate how much revenue the privilege tax would have raked on adjusted gross revenue (AGR) at rates of 12 per cent, 15-16 per cent, and 20 per cent on AGR over $25m
