Horse racing thrives in Scotland

Scotland.- Horse racing is one of the most traditional segments in the gambling industry and Scottish operators believe it is still thriving. According to Hamilton Park Racecourse chief executive Vivien Currie, horse racing continues to thrive in Scotland while facing changing financial pressure as the horserace betting levy had seen significant change.
According to Currie, not only does the segment thrive but it’s also looking for ways to improve. The racetrack has had record attendance figures during 2018 and was named “showcase champion” by the Racecourse Association, an award it would like to receive again as it continues to revamp its venue.
“As a whole, we are thriving,” Mrs Currie told BBC Radio’s Good Morning Scotland and added: “We’re now working more closely with trainers and owners in Scotland as well, to make sure everyone in the whole of Scotland is looking after each other.”
