Gibraltar evaluates iGaming market

Gibraltar authorities shared a comprehensive analysis of the online gaming market.

Gibraltar.- Gibraltar’s Minister for Commerce, Albert Isola revealed the latest report on Gibraltar’s iGaming market. The analysis is based on the KPMG eSummit, the gaming event focused on the local development of the online gaming industry. Gibraltar’s market is facing several changes since UK residents decided to support the Brexit project.

However, the government of the British Overseas Territory decided to implement a new plan, Gambling Review paper, to develop the industry and place the market in a “good position” during the following 10 to 20 years, according to Totally Gaming.

“Since June 24, 2016, we’ve been working extremely hard with the UK government to explore the possibilities, and to seek the benefits in the various challenges and how we are best to exploit them,” Albert Isola said. “In our discussions with Her Majesty’s government across the entire spectrum, whether it’s regarding the fluidity of the frontier, or the future of the financial services sector, or indeed of the gaming sector, we’re engaging in a healthy, constructive and positive vision for what the future may hold.”

The official assessment was released months after Gibraltar hosted the KPMG eSummit, where international representatives of the industry shared their perspectives and planned future updates.
