“Gaming in Latin America is a mature, solid industry”
(Exclusive interview).- Konami Gaming Inc talked with Focus Gaming News about the upcoming Peru Gaming Show.
Eduardo Aching, Vice President, International Sales of Konami Gaming Inc has shared with Focus Gaming News the company’s plans for the upcoming Peru Gaming Show (PGS) 2018. The casino supplier will be exhibiting its state-of-the-art technology and award-winning games.
What is Konami preparing for Peru Gaming Show?
Konami’s lineup for the upcoming event in Peru includes top-performing jackpot progressive games, more than 50 new themes for SeleXion multi-game, and the PGS premiere of our 43-inch curved Concerto Crescent cabinet. Konami has long been a company focused on creative entertainment and exceptional quality, which guests at PGS 2018 will see reinforced throughout our featured releases at the show. Everything from the popular new Star Watch series on Crescent to the hit linked progressive Smash Smash Festival is aimed at providing fresh excitement for players and reliable long-term value for operators.
Konami has recently announced it will showcase video slot themes and base games at the show. What does the company expect to achieve with such a display?
Konami’s 2018 PGS display centers on a strong library of original titles with proven math and mechanics. The depth and quality of the latest available game content from Concerto Slant to Crescent is about giving casino operators a leading mix of high-performing slot themes and bonus games to power their floor. With regional tradeshows like PGS, we have more time to dive into greater detail on the game developments and innovations that are driving success across global markets. Working alongside Pacific Gaming, our exclusive distributor for Peru,
we’re looking forward to hearing from customers about their unique needs and observations.
“What we see with gaming in Latin America is a mature, solid industry.”
How does the company assess the Peruvian and Latin American markets?
What we see with gaming in Latin America is a mature, solid industry. Operators across Peru and surrounding regions are striving to deliver the latest games and new technology for players to enjoy. Pacific Gaming has been a true support to this end and representing Konami locally.
What do you think are the main challenges for the industry in Peru?
Likely the top concern for operators in Peru is how to attract more players and further expand their core customer base. Environment, equipment, service, and amenities all play a role in that, and we’re happy to support by innovating new game concepts, proven math models, and engaging bonus adventures that help create a memorable experience for guests.
“Our vision is to support local operators with exceptional results for their business.”
Do you plan to expand either in Peru or any other countries in Latin America?
Even though it is a competitive market, Konami’s latest products are gaining record growth across the region. Our vision is to support local operators with exceptional results for their business and exceed expectations for our customers. Pacific Gaming is very important in providing that key support and consultation to local markets. They are much like an extension of our Konami team.
