GambleAware to train debt advisors in Scotland

The British responsible gambling charity will work with Citizens Advice Scotland.

UK.- The responsible gambling charity GambleAware will work with Citizens Advice Scotland on a programme to train debt advisers to better understand and prevent gambling harm.

Based around regional hubs, the Gambling Support Service aims to provide staff with tools to identify and support players who may be suffering from harm.

The two-year project will have hubs in Airdrie, Inverness, South West Aberdeenshire and West Lothian.

GambleAware has run similar initiatives with Citizens Advice in England and Wales since 2018.

The charity recently published its first full report on Britain’s National Gambling Treatment Service.
