“G2E is the event that TransAct plans for all year long”

(Exclusive interview).- G2E is one week away and TransAct official Tracey S. Chernay discussed the show with Focus Gaming News.

G2E 2017 is getting closer and TransAct is ready to display its content in Las Vegas. Tracey S. Chernay, Senior Vice President, Global Casino, Gaming and Lottery, spoke with Focus Gaming News and explained what makes the show so important for one of the global leaders in software-driven technology and printing solutions for high-growth markets.

TransAct has been highly active and showcased its products at several shows during 2017. What makes G2E Las Vegas different from others?

G2E is the event that TransAct plans for all year long. It is the show where, each year, we introduce new products and services to our casino and gaming customers and offer a view for the year to come. Once again, at the 17th annual Global Gaming Expo (G2E), we’re excited to be introducing new products, new software driven innovations and expanded services to our Epic customers.

How does so much contact with the public and other companies affect TransAct’s performance?

G2E is an excellent opportunity for TransAct to connect with our customers from around the world. We spend a great deal of time during the year going out into the market to meet with customers in their locations to understand their needs and to work together on innovative solutions for their businesses. This is the one time of year that we see customers from all of our worldwide markets in one spot and can showcase our products and solutions in a very high-energy environment.

North America is one of TransAct’s most important markets. How do you expect the local industry to receive TransAct in comparison to other markets?

Although we have a strong international presence, of course we do see more North American customers at the G2E show. It is always wonderful to reconnect with our valued North American customers. Many of those customers we met at G2E over the years and we continue to see each other there each year. It is also an opportunity for us to connect with new prospects as our offerings expand. Interestingly, we have found that we really do operate in a global market where our shared products work well around the world but they can be tailored to fit a particular market’s requirements.

After a strong start, what are your plans and expectations for the rest of the year?

The fourth quarter is always an eventful time for us as we follow-up with all of the customers who came to see us at G2E and close out our targeted 2017 business. G2E also serves to help us plan for the following year with customer engagements that are solidified at the show.
