FanDuel has signed a three-year agreement with Kentucky Downs.

US.- FanDuel’s has announced a three-year partnership with Kentucky Downs. Its TVG brand will be Kentucky Downs’ official advance-deposit wagering (ADW) platform, while FanDuel will become title sponsor of the $1m FanDuel Turf Sprint on September 11.

Kentucky Downs’ co-owner and co-managing partner Ron Winchell said: “TVG is America’s undisputed leader in television horse racing, and Kentucky Downs has developed arguably the best betting product in the industry.

“That includes the largest purses and field sizes in the country combined with takeout rates that are very horseplayer friendly.”

Marc Falcone, who co-owns and manages Kentucky Downs with Winchell added: “FanDuel and TVG recognize our value, and we’re immensely proud that Kentucky Downs has been added to their sponsorship portfolio that includes the Breeders’ Cup, Keeneland and Del Mar in horse racing, as well as FanDuel’s association with the NFL, NBA, MLB and PGA Tour.”

In 2020, television viewers of horse racing in the US more than tripled after decades of declining audiences.

According to Reuters, the TV audience on Fox Sports 1, Fox Sports 2, and NBC Sports Network was up 206 per cent in 2020 from the same period the year before.
