FanDuel partners with NFL’s Colts
The NFL franchise Indianapolis Colts has named DFS and sports betting operator FanDuel its official partner.
US.- Agreements and partnerships between sports teams and companies in the US have increased since the federal legalisation of sports betting in 2018. FanDuel is one of the companies that are taking advantage of the benefits of partnering with sports teams, as this time it has been named Official Fantasy Sports Partner of the National Football League (NFL) franchise Indianapolis Colts.
The Colts and FanDuel will work together to engage new and existing fans through marketing assets. These include in-stadium digital signage and in-game promotions to digital, radio, TV advertising and more.
This partnership will last throughout the 2019-20 session, the companies announced. The reveal comes just a month after FanDuel announced a multi-year partnership with former Colts punter Pat McAfee.
Matt King, FanDuel CEO, said that as the company continues to expand its footprint in the US, they’re looking for new ways to engage with sports fans, specifically in the Midwest. “Indianapolis is home to a loyal fan base and we’re excited to again partner with the Colts organisation, allowing us to further reach this passionate fan.”
“The Colts always are looking for new ways to engage with our fans, and fantasy sports have long been an avenue for fans to follow the Colts, pro football and their favourite players across the league,” said Roger VanDerSnick, Colts chief sales & marketing officer. “We’re very pleased to come together with FanDuel to make our fan experience the best it can be during the season and year-round.”
