The gambling harm prevention consultancy is expanding its presence to the US and Canada.

US.- The gambling harm prevention consultancy EPIC Risk Management has opened a subsidiary in Delaware to address gambling harm-prevention needs in US and Canada.

Having affirmed its presence in Europe and the UK, the company aims to now expand across the Atlantic, providing education, advocacy, and expert advice. It will provide resources to people at risk of developing problem gambling and experiencing gambling harm.

CEO and founder Paul Buck said: “The US betting and gambling landscape is experiencing a period of unprecedented growth, due in no small part to the legalization of sports betting across many states.

“It is vitally important that gambling harm is recognized and treated as a public health issue that all stakeholders have a duty to mitigate from politicians to the gambling industry operators, to sports teams and leagues, plus the media and regulators.”

In February, EPIC became the gambling awareness partner for the Counter-Strike Professional Players’ Association.

The gambling harm consultancy provides awareness, education and risk management programmes to CSPPA members through a multi-year agreement.
