US.- The Nevada Gaming Commission (NGC) has approved Entain’s application for a gaming licence in the state. The company is a 50-50 partner in MGM Resorts International’s BetMGM sports betting division.

The commission approved Entain as an entity and CEO Jette Nygaard-Anderson, CTO Joseph Simon, CFO Rob Wood and chief governance officer Robert Hoskin as fit and proper for licensure as key executives.

Commissioners raised the issue of Entain’s $20.4m fine from the British Gambling Commission in August for social responsibility and anti-money laundering failures. However, the Nevada Gaming Commission was reportedly satisfied that Entain had modified its compliance procedures.

Back in 2020, Entain Plc announced a plan for all of its revenue to come from locally regulated markets by the end of 2023. The company has said it will exit unregulated markets where it doesn’t see regulation happening.
