Delaware sports betting handle reaches $24.5m in October
The handle increased by 5.6 per cent from September’s $23.2m.
US.- Delaware’s sports betting handle was $24.5m in October, up 5.6 per cent from September’s $23.2m. Net proceeds reached $0.9m, with the state collecting $0.3m in taxes.
Sales at Delaware Park accounted for more than half of the handle at $13m. Retailers handled $4.8m, Harrington $4.4m and Bally’s Dover $2.2m. So far this fiscal year, the sports betting handle in Delaware has reached $67.9m.
Delaware has been considering expanding its sports betting market by allowing multiple apps. Currently, the state has an exclusive contract with BetRivers, but proposed legislation from representative Frank Cooke aimed to open the market to multiple vendors.
