CrownBet and Fox Sports to provide DFS in Australia

Fox Sports could be in charge of promotion through football and rugby leagues’ coverage.

If the deal is signed, CrownBet will be granted the license and will provide daily fantasy sports services in its app.

Australia.- CrownBet, official app of wagers of the Australian Football League, is studying the national market with Fox Sports to nail down a deal that will distribute daily fantasy sports near the next football season, which starts in March 24th.

After the success of the gaming activity in various global markets, Australia can be part of the most modern way of online gambling with CrownBet. The country is considered one of the most active markets for gaming industry in the world, specially when it comes to sports betting. The company has been showing signs of wanting to be the country’s provider since December. In February, CrownBet revealed an agreement with TopBetta, online betting provider and with Fairfax Media, the Australian media of the Sydney Morning Herald and the Australian Financial Review.

This is a huge attempt of the media to recover the financial status that has been in decline since the last decade, although its advertising campaigns are still the strongest weapon it has in order to survive the technological changes. That is why News Corp’s, which manages Fox Sports, clarified that other brand associations, such as Tabcorp, will not be affected by the new deal.
