Circa Resort and Casino to open in Vegas in 2020
The Downtown Las Vegas facility is scheduled to open its doors in December 2020.
US.- Circa Resort and Casino has announced that its scheduled opening date has been set for December 2020. The facility is set to become the first one to be built and operational in Downtown Las Vegas in more than three decades.
The owners of the casino resort revealed details late last week and promised that the property will honour Vegas’ vibrant history. Co-owner Derek Stevens told The Associated Press that they are going to offer things to do with a lot of fun and excitement, no matter the age of visitors. “We are certainly going to have a bit of a focus on sports, water, sun, and it’s all themed around fun and high energy. We are focusing on a design that is consistent with downtown Las Vegas but all new.”
Circa is expected to include a two-level casino, a three-level stadium-style sportsbook with what is set to become the largest screen facility of its kind in Las Vegas, and a pool amphitheater, among other things. Circa’s hotel tower will be the tallest building north of the Las Vegas Strip.
Stevens added that deciding a name for the facility was harder than expected: “I wanted to make sure that in the design of the resort we remember a little bit of Vegas past while we are building something brand new. So, we felt that the name coming together kind of represents a lot of where Las Vegas started in downtown Las Vegas.”
