Camelot launches RGS to expand international offer
The UK National Lottery operator’s B2B division will offer its instant win games to more international lotteries.
UK.- Camelot Lottery Solutions, the UK National Lottery operator’s B2B arm, has gone live with a new proprietary remote gaming server (RGS) that it will use to offer its online instant-win games to lotteries in all regulated jurisdictions.
Camelot already supplies its instant-win products to several European and US lotteries and will use the new server to make them available to any regulated jurisdiction internationally.
The supplier aims to provide content for more lotteries internationally as operators take advantage of regulatory changes to diversify their offer and expand online.
The new RGS can run from the cloud or on physical premises. It includes a random number generator implementation certified by testing lab Gaming Laboratories International.
Camelot Lottery Solutions’ chief technology officer, Brett Cross, said: “Our games studio has been producing and delivering leading game content to major European lotteries like the UK National Lottery, Irish National Lottery and Loterie Romande for many years.
“Now with our RGS and data platforms we have industry leading content distribution and analytical capability.
“I’m excited that we are now able to give our customers immediate delivery of standout games that will help keep players engaged and increase net proceeds for good causes.”
The supplier has a portfolio of 150 games developed through work with various lottery partners. This includes a range of games created specifically for the US market, where it works with the Illinois Lottery and Arkansas Scholarship Lottery.
Head of gaming, Leon Eaton, said: “The development of our RGS enables our games to be integrated with any third party host, therefore I’m both delighted and excited at the opportunity to more widely distribute our market leading games portfolio to new lotteries around the world.”
Camelot has run the UK’s National Lottery since its inception in 1994. The Gambling Commission has opened the tender process to award the next National Lottery licence, to begin in 2023.
