Sweden.- Betsson AB has revealed that its CFO Kaaren Hilsen will leave the company to assume the role of CEO of Telenor, a Swedish telecoms firm. Hilsen had been in the company since October 1, 2017.

Pontus Lindwall, Betsson’s CEO, said: “I would like to thank Kaaren for her contribution in getting Betsson back on track. I respect that she has received an offer she couldn’t refuse and wish her all the best for the future. Betsson is a stronger company than it was a year ago and I am sure that we will soon recruit a new CFO who wants to be part of taking Betsson to the next level.”
Last month, a Dutch subsidiary from Betsson Group was hit with a €300k penalty for allowing players in the Netherlands to use its services without holding a local licence. Corona was fined €300k for the infractions on the Orange and Kroon online casino brands.
