The Mayor of the Cyprus city Ayia Napa has officially inaugurated the satellite casino from Melco Resorts.
Cyprus.- Melco Resorts continues to expand its reach, as it opened its third satellite casino in Cyprus earlier this month. On Wednesday, Ayia Napa Mayor Yiannis Karousos officially inaugurated a facility and described it as an important moment for the Cyprus municipality.
The third satellite casino to open in Cyprus, Ayia Napa C2 Casino is located in Asia Napa’s tourist area. The gambling facility sits on a 13k m2 plot. The gaming area, featured on 367 m2, offers 50 slot machines that are under the regulation of Cypriot authorities.
Ayia Napa’s opening followed the ones from Nicosia and Larnaca. Melco is also operating a temporary facility in Limassol, which will be replaced by City of Dreams Mediterranean in 2021.
“It’s an honour for the municipality that Melco chose Ayia Napa to open the satellite casino in the Famagusta district.” The Mayor added that he is sure that the casino will strengthen tourism and boost the local economy as well.
Senior Executive Director of City of Dreams Mediterranean and Cyprus Casinos ‘C2’ Craig Ballantyne said: “Undoubtedly, Ayia Napa has much to offer, as it has always been a popular tourist destination, for Cypriots and foreigners alike.”
Cyprus Casinos C2 welcomes one-millionth visitor
Last month, Cyprus Casinos C2 revealed that it reached the milestone of welcoming its one-millionth visitor. C2 Limassol registered Cyprus Casinos’ one-millionth visitor, who is also a C2 Rewards Club member, in-cyprus.com reports. The visitor received some prizes for helping the company reach that milestone.
Craig Ballantyne said that this is a significant thing as it rewards the hard work from the past year: “Following the recent launch of our third satellite casino C2 Ayia Napa and the upcoming launch of C2 Paphos, Cyprus Casinos will attract even more visitors from Cyprus and abroad and enhance the entertainment offerings in those cities,” said Ballantyne.
