Cambodia.- Since the government lifted the temporary closure of casinos in the country, 21 venues in Sihanoukville have requested permission to reopen.

Casinos in the area have been shut down since April 1. If their applications to reopen are approved by provincial authorities, they will be presented to the national government, Phnom Penh Post has informed.

Each individual casino must obtain permission from the Ministry of Health (MOH) and implement measures to prevent Covid-19 contagion before being allowed to reopen.

Donaco International said this week that it expected to obtain permission from the MOH and reopen in the next few weeks.

So far, only NagaCorp’s Nagaworld has received the necessary authorisation, partially resuming its operations in July.
