Arizona legalises sports betting in tribal casinos
The US DoI has approved legislation that Governor Doug Ducey signed into law in April to allow Arizona’s tribal casinos to offer sports betting.
US.- Arizona tribal casinos will now be able to offer sports betting after the US Department of the Interior (DoI) approved an updated tribal compact with the state.
Governor Doug Ducey signed an emergency proposal into law back in April. Under the new legislation, Arizona’s tribal casinos will now be allowed to offer sports betting as well as fantasy sports.
The updated compact also authorises new table games in tribal venues, including craps. New legislation also allows the state lottery to run a new Keno game.
As for sports betting outside tribal reservations, other professional sports companies will be able to offer online sports betting and fantasy sports.
