Kansas Crossing Casino confirms opening date

The upcoming Southeast Kansas casino announced that the project is on schedule.

US.- A spokesman for the the Kansas Crossing Casino and Hotel that is set to open in March 2017, said that the project is on track to open on schedule. The US$70 million facility is set to open in the Southeast Kansas Gaming Zone.

According to the Morning Sun, Garion Masterson, a spokesman for Kansas Crossing, said: “Work is continuing on both the interior and exterior of the casino as we really are putting the shape of everything together. A lot of the more particular items are seeing work done. In the interior, we’ve started to rough in things like plumbing, electrical, ductwork and other things.” Masterson also reported that the majority of the exterior is finished, and that a few details will follow in the next few weeks.

On January 5, the casino will host its second job fair, in order to create more than 325 permanent jobs. “The jobs that are available include things like table games, slots, security, food and beverage, marketing, finance, cage and housekeeping and maintenance. No experience is required,” said the spokesman. The gambling facility was approves in July 2015 by the Kansas Racing and Gaming Commission.
