Golden Gate casino to double its size
The downtown Las Vegas casino announced that it will double its facility as part of a major renovation.
US.- The Golden Gate hotel-casino located in downtown Las Vegas is set to double its casino size. The expansion that was announced last week by officials is part of a major renovation that the facility is carrying away.
Derek Stevens, CEO of Golden Gate, said: “Since opening in 1906 as Hotel Nevada, Golden Gate has played a key role in the growth and success of Downtown Las Vegas. We are thrilled to continue Golden Gate’s incredible narrative and evolution, while also contributing to the area’s ongoing revitalisation.” The last time the casino went through an expansion was in 2012, when it included a new five-story hotel tower, as well as a new love and a remodeling of its exterior.
As the casino announced in a press release, the facility will be closer from August 20-25 for a significant construction phase. Approximately 100 slots will be added to the casino floor, which will also feature a 24-foot television tower, that will be displayed like a fountain.
