The 13 Hotel to open before September

South Shore Holdings Ltd revealed it expects to open the venue before the end of this month and will soon announce the exact launch date.

Macau.- The 13 Hotel is set to finally open in Macau after being delayed multiple times. South Shore Holdings Ltd announced to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange that the venue will be ready to open before August ends and the exact launch date will soon be revealed.

The opening date was originally scheduled for June 31st, then moved back to July 31st and, more recently, August 31st was set as a potential launch date for the hotel. However, South Shore said that, after getting all the necessary permits to open shop, it will announce the actual launch date in the next few days.

The company couldn’t hit its original deadline after the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) conducted an inspection in June and decided that the scheme’s promoter had to “apply for re-inspection” due to “unfinished works”. On July 23rd, that process began and then came to an end in the past few days as The 13 Hotel got clearance from the regulatory body.

The August opening will only include the hotel, as the casino is expected to be completed by March 31st 2019, South Shore said in a February filing. The gaming floor is expected to include 50 slot machines and 66 gaming tables, divided in 50 “high-stakes” ones for the mass market and 16 VIP-room tables.
