Sweden grants another five-year licence

The gambling regulator has granted LeoVegas a second licence to operate pixel.bet.

Sweden.- Spelinspektionen, Sweden’s gambling regulator, has revealed that it issued this week a second licence for LeoVegas’ newest brand pixel.bet. The five-year licence is for both online casino and sports betting.

Pixel.bet has set its sights in the Swedish market and Nordic region, and it intends to become a leader in eSports. The group believes that the new licence will act as a compliment to its current casino and live casino offering in the country.

Gustaf Hagman, LeoVegas’ Group CEO, explained that during a year when the company is focusing on strong growth but also on cost efficiency, “it is inspiring to see that pixel.bet are developing well and that we as a Group can benefit from our economies of scale with the sharing of resources and knowledge between our companies.”

Eirik Kristiansen, CEO of Pixel digital, added: “With this licence we gain the opportunity to offer our product and passion for esports betting to the Swedish market. Moreover, we have added a truly exciting casino experience that we know customers will appreciate. This springboard in Sweden will also position us for continued expansion internationally.”
