Sweden debuts new iGaming market

The newly regulated market in Sweden debuted on January 1 and has already welcomed three new companies.

Sweden.- Sweden has debuted its newly-regulated gambling market on January 1, introducing major changes for the local industry, such as the rebrand of the local regulator and the introduction of new iGaming companies.

AhaWorld, White Hat Gaming and Hero Gaming have all received online casino licences on December 27 and brought the total number of companies that debuted the market on the first day of the year to 60.

GVC is one of the companies that has rolled out its products with the re-regulation: “We are delighted to get the year off to a positive start with the launch of bwin.se and partypoker.se,” said Shay Segev, chief operating officer of GVC.

The COO added that launching two new labels in such a short space of time after receiving the licence demonstrates the flexibility of the company’s unique proprietary technology platform. “We are confident that Swedish customers will enjoy what we believe is the best and most comprehensive online gaming experience in the market.”
