The Irish bookmaker will become the title sponsor of SSG’s weekly golf show, The Sweet Spot.

UK.- Spotlight Sports Group (SSG) has named Irish bookmaker BoyleSports the title sponsor of its weekly golf show, The Sweet Spot. BoyleSports’ sponsorship of The Sweet Spot will see its brand featured on the programme, on which golf experts will discuss betting options and markets.

The Sweet Spot was launched in 2019. It’s streamed on the Racing Post YouTube channel and clipped across various social media platforms. The show will cover tournaments such as the PGA Tour and DP World Tour. BoyleSports will also become exclusive sponsor of the Racing Post Podcast.

Sam Houlding, SSG’s chief commercial officer, said: “Our video content continues to drive engagement and The Sweet Spot is one of our most popular weekly shows.

“The show delivers entertaining viewing with input from our in-house talent and for BoyleSports offers a share of voice provided by cross-channel branded merchandising across our network.”

Leon Blanche, head of communications at BoyleSports, added: “We are revolutionising in-play golf betting as customers can now bet on and follow every single hole, player and shot, and with thousands of new markets available we believe that the future of in-play golf betting is with BoyleSports.

“We are thrilled therefore to be teaming up with Spotlight Sports Group and cannot wait to engage with the expertise consistently broadcast on The Sweet Spot.”

BoyleSports confirmed in March that Mark Kemp was stepping down as chief executive to head up the new sportsbook division at the streaming platform DAZN. The former managing director of the UK Tote Group will leave in July.

Kemp replaced Conor Grey as CEO of BoyleSports last June. It’s reported that company founder John Boyle will return to an executive role while the company seeks a replacement. Grey, who remains at BoyleSports leading the company’s international expansion plans, will also support the role.
