Rich Roberts is no longer Sportech’s digital US president
Sportech announced Roberts’ resignation adding that he has also stepped down from the company’s board.
US.- Sportech announced that Rich Roberts has resigned to his position as president of digital USA and he has also stepped down from the firm’s board.
The decision came after a reorganisation of managerial responsibilities in the company’s North American activities, following the withdrawal from its ‘Draft Day’ daily fantasy sports business obligations.
Roberts will remain with the company until the end of August to smooth the transition of responsibilities. In the meantime, Andrew Gaughan will continue to oversee Sportech Racing and Digital, whilst Ted Taylor, director of Sportech Venues in Connecticut, US, will take on responsibility for the online business in the US state.
“Rich has been an important member of the executive team, most notably during our successful digital activities in New Jersey last year,” said Ian Penrose, chief executive of Sportech. “I would like to personally thank him for his contribution to the company, and we wish him well for the future.”
On its part, Roberts said:“I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Sportech and am proud of the success we have had during that period with some key digital initiatives.”
