Play’n GO introduces a new slot for The Day of the Dead festival
The new Dead in Mictlán slot features a narrative that players can interact with and advance the story.
Press Release.- Play’n GO transports players to the colourful Aztec beyond of Mictlán with its latest release, the new slot Muerto en Mictlán.
The launch occurs in the framework of the Day of the Dead, a festival to celebrate the memory of family members in the past. In the game, when players light the candles on the sacred altar, they are transported to the colourful afterlife and their spirit guides Catrin and Catrina will show them the way through Mictlán. Players will be able to enrich their senses as they travel from the Kingdom of the Moon to the Kingdom of the Sun.
This is a 5-reel slot, Muerto en Mictlán is vivid in its style with an explosion of colour with every spin. Catrin and Catrina appear on the reels to guide players through levels in the game that is reminiscent of The Sword and the Grail in that regard.

Each level has a unique Wild characteristic that reflects a different spirit. These spirits possess the power to take them to the next part of the journey through Mictlán. Which in turn evolves the story for the player as they take control of the direction the story goes with their choice of wild features.
Stunning images and audio create an environment that completely immerses players in the world of Muerto in Mictlán. A vivid colour palette and traditional flower and animal motifs in decorative swirls. A nod to Calaveras (sugar skulls), which appear as decorations for Catrin and Catrina’s face paint.
The Soul Scatter animation is also worth mentioning. This clever animation features electric blue and violet tones with a faint “spirit” outline, adding to the spectacular visuals in this game.
“This is such a beautiful game and we loved working on it. The images are simply stunning.”
Charlotte Miliziano, Play’n GO Games Director
Play’n GO Games Director Charlotte Miliziano added: “We didn’t want to create the typical ‘Day of the Dead’ game. We wanted this game to excite our players. So, we created a narrative with which the players can interact and advance the story, completely immersing them in the world of Mictlán ”.
