The state gaming regulator approved fines totalling US$160k for a number of violations.

US.- The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) approved fines on Wednesday that total US$160k against two casinos for various violations. The fines were the result of Board approvals at its public meeting of consent agreements between the PGCB’s Office of Enforcement Counsel and Washington Trotting Association, Inc and Valley Forge Convention Center Partners, L.P.

Washington Trotting Association, Inc., is the operator of The Meadows casino in Washington County and received a US$80k fine for allowing unauthorised employees to issue complementary services. Valley Forge Convention Center Partners, L.P., operator of the Valley Forge Casino Resort in Montgomery County, received two fines, one of US$50k for failure to prevent fraudulent transactions by one of its employees, and a second of US$30k for table game violations.

The PGCB also discussed regulations for the upcoming sports betting market, which has been recently legalised by the US Supreme Court, as well as the petitions submitted by local casinos to operate online gaming in the state.
