New Mexico: Tesuque Casino reopens after shutting down due cyber attack

US.- A cybercrime took place at Tesuque Casino, in New Mexico. The venue remains closed after a cyber attack that was discovered on September 25. The casino has informed that they will reopen on October 5.
Tesuque Gov. Mark Mitchell, released a statement that said they are investigating the incident and are working to strengthen their cyber security defences. The steps being taken are: isolation of affected systems and deploying of actions to resolve the issues.
“Tesuque Casino has also initiated a comprehensive investigation into the incident. The findings will serve to further strengthen the casino’s cyber security defences,” stated the press release given by the governor.
He also said: “Through our fast-acting team and external IT specialists, we were able to contain and remedy the issue as swiftly as possible”. They are making sure to continue to be vigilant about security and protection of confidential information for our customers and employees.
According to local press, casino officials were not available for comment about potential compromise of customer information.
