US.- A US casino operator has announced it will look to hire more than 500 people as it moves ahead with plans to open a new venue in Pittsburgh later this year.
Live! Casino Pittsburgh expects to open at Westmoreland Mall in time for Thanksgiving. The US$150 million new venues have released details on how to apply for jobs.
Job seekers can apply for managerial and supervisory positions online at WorkatLive.com.
Specific job qualifications, as well as the hiring timeline, will be discussed during three virtual community information sessions, which will include a presentation and a question-and-answer session.
A recruitment centre will be set up next month in the lower level of the mall where the casino is located. Their job seekers will be able to meet with casino representatives to ask any questions and gain additional information.
Sean Sullivan, casino vice president and general manager, said in a statement: “We are anxious to meet many more of our area residents to share the highlights of our casino, along with the potential career opportunities available to them.”
Live! Casino Pittsburgh is under construction in a former Bon-Ton store. It will host 750 slot machines and 30 table games.
The company has partnered with Westmoreland County Community College to run a dealer school from where the casino expects to hire between 60 and 70 dealers. It will look to hire an additional 50 to 60 experienced dealers.
