Macau is positive about recovery
The last two months marked a slightly increment for Macau’s casinos revenues.
Macau.- According to results of a study by Buckingham Research, an experienced consultancy company, Macau casinos can expect a 5.9 percent increment in its gross gaming revenues. The 10 first days of October, the gaming city hit €1 billion, implying an ADR of €107 million.
“However, the devil is in the details regarding the breakdown between VIP and Mass and overall market shares (which are not available) and as such the weight of the overall GGR number needs to be taken with a bit of skepticism,” stated the study.
The ADR is well above Septembers’s ADR of €67 million as expected, due to the Golden Week Holiday from October 1–7, which also showed an 18 percent increase compared to the same week in 2015. “Overall, we view the Golden Week period as positive and affirms our view of a market recovery,” added the statement.
