Macau casino operators are targeting the locals

The idea of the campaign is to promote non-gaming offerings and has been described as a corporate social responsibility initiative to give back to the community.

Macau.- Six casino operators have created a campaign targeting Macau’s citizens. “Macau Loves Locals” covers a wide-range of non-gaming offers, such as discounts of about 20 percent for hotel rooms, shows and entertainment, spas, restaurants, and other non-gaming elements. These offers will be available until March 31, and comprises non-gaming facilities at all hotels and resorts run by the city’s casino operators.

The strategy of the government is to promote the diversification of the gambling hub’s economy. The campaign aims to encourage Macau residents to experience the non-gaming facilities offered by the six operators’ companies.

“I am very pleased to see the six operators coming together for this first-of-its-kind campaign,” said Lionel Leong Vai Tac, Macau’s Secretary for Economy and Finance. “This joint promotion gives Macau locals the opportunity to enjoy unprecedented special offers on a wide range of non-gaming offerings for a limited period, rewarding them with this promotion while at the same time promoting the development of the non-gaming sector in the city.”
