It will be the first expansion outside of the UK for the online casino brand aimed at women players.
Canada.- LeoVegas is to launch its brand aimed at female players, Pink Casino, in Canada.
LeoVegas has several other brands operating in Canada but its Pink Casino brand has yet to expand beyond the UK. The company said it believes its existing knowledge of Canadian markets will make for a successful launch.
The company said the Canadian launch was facilitated by the successful migration of the brand to its proprietary platform in April.
The move is part of a wider company strategy that focuses on expanding existing brands and resources to grow across markets.
LeoVegas chief executive Gustaf Hagman said in a statement: “It is super exciting to continue expanding in North America. This is a superb way to use our strong brands and deliver profitable growth. I look forward to offering the Canadian market even more gaming fun and entertainment in the form of Pink Casino.”
Last month, LeoVegas appointed two banks as joint bookrunners as it looks to raise finance to ensure long-term stable financing for the company.
Meanwhile, in Canada, a bill which would legalise single-event sports betting has been introduced to parliament and is entering the final stage towards becoming federal legislation.
