Hard Rock Las Vegas to close during renovations
The Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Las Vegas has announced that while it is renovating the facility, it will completely close its business.
US.- Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Las Vegas will go through an extensive renovation process that will take up to eight months. During that period, which will start in February 2020, the company has decided to close the facility’s doors.
Hard Rock revealed that the original plan consisted of leaving the hotel open for most of the renovation and shut it down for four months. However, the operator decided that they needed more time in order to complete the renovations. While February is the new date, Hard Rock Vegas will close after the Super Bowl, scheduled for February 2.
JC Hospitality President and CEO Richard “Boz” Bozworth said: “We determined that a phased closing of four months, followed by a total closure of four months was not efficient from a construction process nor could we provide a hospitality service experience our guests deserve. Therefore an approximate eight-month closure would be most efficient and ensure a timely opening prior to January 2021.”
Moreover, the CEO said that they might be ready in October, but “construction is an imperfect process.” He added that until early February 2020 business will be normal. “Virgin Hotels Las Vegas promises to be one of the most exciting, vibrant, and anticipated properties to open in Las Vegas in years,” he said.
