Grand Korea Leisure sales grow 6.6 pct
During June, Grand Korea Leisure Co Ltd casino sales grew 6.6% year-on-year to €29.4 million, but 2019’s first-half sales dropped anyway.
South Korea.- South Korean gaming operator Grand Korea Leisure Co Ltd (GKL) posted a 6.6% increase in casino sales. The company posted sales worth €29.4 million, which wasn’t enough to prevent the first half results to be down.
Figures were down 1.2% month-on-month but still posted better results in June than the same month in 2018.
According to a Grand Korea Leisure filing, the increase was due to a 5% growth in table game sales during June, to nearly €25.4 million. Machine game sales also grew by 17.5% year-on-year, to €3.99 million.
According to the company, casino sales for the six months to June 30 dropped 5.3% to €170 million. Table game sales dropped 6.5% to €148 million but machine game sales grew by 3.3% to €22.5 million.
