“G2E will include never-before-seen releases”
(Exclusive interview).- Eduardo Aching, VP, International Sales at Konami, told Focus Gaming News that never-before-seen technology will be unveiled at G2E.
Konami Gaming will be one of the main characters during this year’s G2E show in Las Vegas. Global Gaming Expo, which will be carried out from October 2 to 5 in the United State’s gaming hub Las Vegas, will be the perfect opportunity to experience Konami’s latest products, as Eduardo Aching, Vice President, International Sales at Konami, told Focus Gaming News.
How is Konami preparing for this year’s edition of G2E Las Vegas?
Last year at G2E 2016, Konami showcased the premiere of its Concerto Collection of game cabinets. Based on the popularity of the original upright machine, Concerto Slant, Concerto Stack, and Concerto Crescent have all begun to reach players across the globe. Since then, our leading R&D team has been working diligently to pioneer the latest creative game mechanics, bonus features, and fun themes, which has resulted in a huge mix of unique titles for properties to choose from. Guests at G2E Las Vegas can expect to see a rich lineup of Konami themes to power a robust array of options for players to enjoy.
How does this year’s lineup help deliver on the needs of the international market?
Since its debut, SeleXion multi-game has been Konami’s most popular gaming product internationally for its leading game change speed, dependable hardware, and flexible customizability. During G2E 2017, SeleXion is reaching more game themes and cabinets than ever across Konami’s Concerto Collection of video slots in addition to Concerto upright and Concerto Slant. This year for the first time, we are bringing SeleXion to single screen formats on Concerto Stack and Concerto Crescent so players can enjoy a mix of our newest portrait-oriented games together in one machine. Our latest game themes including Dragon Fury, China Shores Great Stacks, Mayan Chief Great Stacks, and more can all be featured across Stack and Crescent’s 43-inch HD screen with diverse configuration options for multiple languages, denominations, and currencies. These combined features give international operators advanced options to get the greatest long-term value from Konami’s newest single screen releases.

The company has praised the premiere curved cabinet’s ability to enhance Konami’s products. What can we expect to see from curved Concerto Crescent during G2E?
The upcoming G2E show will include a great mix of never-before-seen releases for Konami’s curved Concerto Crescent cabinet with new progressive game and bonus mechanics unlike anything else available to market. In terms of new and unique entertainment, these games really standout.
Earlier this year, Konami introduced the Concerto Slant in the Peruvian market. How does the company assess the Latin American market?
Even though it is a competitive market, Concerto continues to gain more and more space in casinos throughout Latin America. From Mexico to Argentina, operators are very happy with Concerto’s exceptional results for their business. The performance remains strong and we really see how Konami’s newest games are exceeding expectations for our customers across Latin America.
The Concerto SeleXion multi-game family is a definite must-see.
What are the top 3 things that guests should plan to see during G2E?
Many guests from last year’s G2E show remember Konami’s Fortune Cup mechanical horse racing game. It will not be at the Konami’s 2017 booth, but rather it will be featured at two debut locations on the Las Vegas Strip—The Venetian and MGM Grand. Both are hosting the first casino installations of Fortune Cup, which guests should definitely plan to see during their trip.
Over at the Konami booth, the Concerto SeleXion multi-game family is a definite must-see, especially for international operators. We will have a comprehensive mix of SeleXion highlights available for guests to explore first-hand.
In addition, we will be hosting on-going skill-based gaming tournaments with Beat Square. This rhythmic, music-based skill game is a truly novel Konami advancement that allows players to compete individually or in teams for top scores. Guests at G2E are invited to experience Beat Square themselves, discover what it’s like, and possibly win some prizes in the process.
