EGT Spain gets awarded by AZAR Plus magazine

AZAR Plus has awarded Euro Games Technology with the prestigious accolade “Company with outstanding annual results.”

Spain.- Euro Games Technology in Spain received the prize “Company with outstanding annual results” in the 17th consecutive edition of Azar Plus Awards. The competition is held every year by one of the most respected regional media with over 30 years’ experience in the gaming sector and includes 15 categories, distinguishing the successful enterprises and managers in the industry. The accolade for EGT is given in recognition of its sustainable development and strong presence on the local market in 2017 and was bestowed on Gergana Chelebieva, director of EGT Spain, who was also proclaimed one of the most promising young managers from the hosts.

At the special ceremony at Casino Gran Madrid de Torrelodones, Mrs Chelebieva acknowledged the fast development of Euro Games Technology worldwide, reminding that in the very beginning the company had started with only six people to grow to over 1,500 employees nowadays, establishing 22 offices globally, two subsidiary companies – EGT Multiplayer and EGT Interactive, and deploying a portfolio of quality slot, multiplayer, online-based and casino management solutions. “The award is a great honour to us,” she also stated. “The office in Spain has followed the overall growth trend of EGT, succeeding for only three years to make installations of company’s land-based machines in 11 of all 17 jurisdictions in the country and planning to complete much more till the end of 2018. Within our main goals, apart from the casino segment, is to become a trusted provider of products for the gaming halls and we have solid grounds to believe that we will be successful in this line of work as well. We are now in the final stages of development of our slot cabinets and software and the strong advantages of our models in terms of innovation and high-performance will definitely make a change in Spain as they have done in numerous other countries.”

During the year EGT Spain will also direct its efforts toward the online gaming, being currently in final negotiations with several major local operators.
