Cyprus grants new licence to operate gaming machines
The gaming commission granted Aruze a certificate to operate and supply gaming machines.
Cyprus.- Aruze Gaming America announced this week that the Cyprus National Gaming and Casino Supervision Commission granted the company a certificate to allow them to operate and supply gaming machines in the Republic of Cyprus Integrated Casino Resort (“ICR”) and its subsidiaries.
The certificated was granted on May 15th, in a move to let the company expand its footprint in Europe, said David Meacher, Aruze Gaming’s Director of Business Development for Europe. Moreover, in April the Hellenic Gaming Commission approved the company to operate as a gaming contractor in Greece. “These jurisdictions offer amazing opportunities for us. While Greece has a mature gaming market that is opening up to new licenses, the Republic of Cyprus is allowing them for the first time,” said Meacher.
Cyprus is on its way to become a gaming destination in the continent, with City of Dreams Mediterranean set to become the largest casino once it opens in 2021. “These and other new licenses show Aruze’s increasing focus on European markets, and we are thrilled to offer our new Muso Triple-27 cabinet to our newest customers!”
