The new casino in Vigo will open in November
The Casino A Laxe in Vigo will open in November after they repeatedly delayed its inauguration in recent months.
Spain.- We’re just days away from the grand opening for Casino A Laxe, in Vigo. Despite the delays, Luckia hopes to inaugurate it in November to make the most of the Christmas season.
Originally, the company intended to open the casino at the A Laxe Shopping Center before the European summer. However, the process took longer and the most recent date set was October.
After not being able to complete the required procedures on time, the company has set a new date: November.
Delays
Even as they planned to open during Holy Week, construction work was delayed. The Casino de Vigo is expected to boost the city’s economy and attract more tourism.
Cirsa and Luckia received in September 2018 the authorisation of the Xunta de Galicia to install a casino in Vigo. The company had revealed it invested approximately US$1 million in the first stage of construction of the premises nine and ten of the A Laxe Shopping Center located in Cánovas del Castillo.
As the operators pointed out in the presentation of the project in the Council in March, the investment will be between US$6.4 and US$7 million. In its 2,000 square meters, it will have a 500-meter playground. Furthermore, 80 gaming machines and 12 blackjack tables, roulette, poker and other games. Also, a bar, restaurant and multipurpose area.
