Major League Baseball team owners have approved making a proposal to the players’ union recommending a July start date.
US.- Major League baseball has earmarked the start of July as a possible return to action after postponing the start of the season due to Covid-19.
Major League Baseball (MLB) team owners approved making a proposal to the players’ union recommending a July start date.
The proposal has also requested players receive a percentage of their 2020 salaries based on the revenues the MLB generates during the season.
The plan is to start the delayed season around the Fourth of July weekend but with games taking place behind closed doors.
This is to prevent further spread of Covid-19, which has hit the US particular hard over the past two months.
Almost all major sport across the US has been cancelled during the month of March, April and now May.
However, the NFL released its 2020 schedule.
