New lottery bill introduced in Alabama
New lottery legislation lands despite Governor calling for a halt on legislation being tabled.
US.- A new lottery bill has been filed in Alabama today despite Governor Kay Ivey asking lawmakers to stop tabling lottery legislation.
At the time, he took the decision to appoint a study group to assess what the state should do moving forward.
Despite his request, a lottery Bill was delivered to the Senate last week with a Separate Bill filed in the House in the last few hours.
The Bill is from Rep. Steve Clouse who has no plans to push the legislation at this stage.
“I’m not interested in tying up the House’s time if the Senate isn’t going to address it,” Clouse said.
