Detroit casinos report small gain

The city’s three casinos experienced a small growth last month.

US.- Peninsula Reports released the numbers that show that the three existing casinos in Detroit increased their revenue and wagering taxes in February. The gambling facilities contributed US$9.5 million in gaming taxes to Michigan.

The report revealed that aggregate gains totaled US$117 million, almost a 0.7 percent higher than the amount collected during the same period in 2016. Furthermore, the number also represents a 4.7 percent growth over January, whilst the year-to-daye aggregate revenue experienced a 1.7 increase compared to both January and February of 2016.

Whilst Greektown was the only one who reported a 0.8 percent drop to US$28 million, MotorCity gained 0/4 percent to US$40.6 million. MGM was the best performer of the month with its monthly revenue growing 1.9 percent year-on-year to US$48 million.
