“We are ready for Brazil”

With an excellent beginning of the year, Ortiz Gaming is ready to conquer new markets, targeting specially the possible Brazilian legal market. Alejandro Ortiz, founder and chairman of Ortiz Gaming, shared the company’s expectations.

Which are the greatest achievements Ortiz Gaming can show after the first half of 2016?

We have had an excellent first half of the year. We continue to have a steady growth in land-based and our Interactive Division is really taking off so there are great opportunities ahead of us.

Can you share with us Ortiz Gaming’s goals for the rest of the year?

Keep the focus on our customer and make significant improvements in our product rollout, re-investing a substantial percentage of our profits in R&D.

Is Ortiz Gaming ready for Brazil’s gambling legalisation?

Yes, we are ready; we truly understand local market needs and we believe we hold a significant edge to be extremely successful there. We are also very excited as Brazil’s gambling legalization could benefit the country as a whole, generating thousands of jobs and significant gaming tax revenues to help balance the government’s budget.

What are your expectations with this huge new market?

Ortiz Gaming knows the roots of the Brazilian market, its demographics; we know what products can be successful there; honestly we could not have better expectations for Brazil and we are well positioned to take advantage of that.

What would be the company’s first steps after gaming legalisation in Brazil is approved?

We are working nonstop with multi-disciplinary teams, mapping the local landscape and making sure we are situated for this massive start up; in other words, our first step will be to have our experienced teams on the ground to make sure we maximize every single opportunity.
