Washington DC’s sports betting handle was $12.5m in May.
US.- Washington DC’s sports betting handle was $12.5m in May, down 27.3 per cent compared to May 2022’s $17.2m and down 17.2 per cent from $14.5m in April this year. Gross gaming revenue was $2m, level with the same period last year and double the $1m generated in April.
Caesars Entertainment led the market in revenue, collecting $818,817 from a $4.6m handle. Gambet, run by the DC Lottery and powered by Intralot, registered $5.4m in wagers and $711,282 in revenue. BetMGM recorded $315,548 in revenue from a $1.5m handle. FanDuel, which has a retail sportsbook at Audi Field, registered $87,029 in revenue of $564,386 in bets.
Grand Central Bar and partner Elys Game Technology posted $86,903 in revenue from $386,459 in bets. The Cloakbook joint venture between Cloakroom DC and Elys recorded $5,224 in revenue from a $14,940 handle.
