UK Tote Group acquires the Tote

A consortium of racecourse owners known as the UK Tote Group has completed the acquisition of the Tote.

UK.- The Tote has switched hands after a consortium of racecourse owners completed its acquisition. The group was known as Alizeti, but its name is now the UK Tote Group.

“Today marks the start of an exciting new era for the Tote,” UK Tote Group chief executive Alex Frost said. “Pool betting plays a leading role in racing jurisdictions around the world. We believe the Tote can play a similar role in the UK while supporting and growing British racing in the years ahead.

“We have received tremendous encouragement and support from owners, trainers, breeders, racecourses and those in the administration of the sport, for which we are enormously grateful.”

William Hill & the Tote

William Hill revealed in 2018 a new partnership with Global Betting Services (GBS) in order to enhance its racing product. The two-year deal will see GBS provide the bookmaker with a range of tools to boost its racing product in the UK, the United States and B2B partners.

The partnership establishes that William Hill will be able to automatically and instantly price racing events thanks to GBS’ Premium Price Manager solution. William Hill will also obtain access to the Tote, adding a new product to its fixed-odds racing portfolio in both the UK and US.

“Implementing The BetMakers’ products will allow us to offer an unparalleled global racing product in all racing jurisdictions as we further expand outside the UK, with racing product from Asia, Europe, Australia and importantly North America being a key driver of our expansion,” Group Trading Director at William Hill Terry Pattinson explained.
