TransAct brings full suite of technology to AGE 2017
Company and distribution partner, Suzo-Happ, will feature state-of-the-art Epic Edge™ casino ticket printer at Booth #470.
US.- TransAct Technologies Incorporated, a global leader in software-driven technology and printing solutions for high-growth markets, will demonstrate a comprehensive suite of innovative gaming technology and print solutions at the 2017 Australasian Gaming Expo (AGE 2017), to be held August 15-17 at the International Convention Center Sydney Darling Harbour in Sydney, Australia.
The Company’s display (Booth #470), in conjunction with its distribution partner Suzo-Happ, will include a full lineup of Epic® casino, gaming and lottery ticket printers, led by the new Epic Edge™, as well as the latest versions of the Epicentral® promotion and bonusing system, including version 3.8 and Epicentral System Edition (“Epicentral SE”).
Bart C. Shuldman, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of TransAct Technologies, commented: “The printed coupon is a proven, effective way to drive casino play and grow revenue. We believe that our leading print and technology solutions, including our all-new Epic Edge gaming device printer and industry-unique Epicentral promotion and bonusing system, are uniquely positioned to help operators capitalize on this key opportunity. In particular, our entire team is eager to demonstrate at AGE 2017 the ability of our solutions to easily deliver valuable printed coupons directly to players at the slot machine or electronic table game of their choice.”
The next-generation Epic Edge builds on the proven performance of TransAct’s industry-leading Epic 950 to deliver a host of technological advances. As the first ticket-in/ticket out (“TITO”) printer to offer 300 dpi print resolution, representing a 50 percent improvement over current printers, the Epic Edge produces razor sharp barcodes that improve bill validator acceptance and reduce attendant calls while allowing for more attractive coupon designs that enhance Epicentral implementations. In addition, the Epic Edge features an adjustable ticket bucket that allows operators to use smaller tickets to save money and reduce paper usage and, as a drop-in replacement for the Epic 950, it provides for the side-by-side operation of both printers on a casino floor. Other key features of the new Epic Edge include: Single outer chassis with Serial, USB and Netplex ports to allow the printer to work with any machine type, hot swap capability to eliminate game downtime, two high-speed interfaces for firmware and graphics updates: USB and Micro SD. Moreover, it also includes upgraded ServerPort™ connection and rugged metal chassis design.
“We are always looking for ways to refine our products and solutions so that they improve our customers’ operations and the industry-first high-resolution print capabilities of our new Epic Edge are a clear example of these efforts,” added Mr. Shuldman. “In dramatically extending the technical, feature and performance leadership of our flagship gaming device printer, TransAct is allowing our customers to provide casino patrons with the industry’s highest quality printed tickets, resulting in reduced bill validator errors and better coupon design for Epicentral implementations.”
Epicentral is the industry’s only enterprise-level promotion and bonusing software suite, providing for the real-time delivery of targeted promotions to customers directly at the slot machine and electronic table game. It works with all existing slot management systems and games and allows casino slot and marketing teams to create an unparalleled floor-wide bonusing environment that has been proven to drive increased time on device and, ultimately, increased revenue for the casino operator.
Two distinct Epicentral versions that enhance the capabilities of this unique solution will be on display at AGE 2017: Epicentral v3.8, which allows operators to run multiple simultaneous promotions, create games within games, offer multi-user/multi-site promotions, run different promotions on different slot game banks, segment players by tier and promote to different levels of uncarded players. It also features the ability to redeem, print or reprint bonuses at multiple locations, an enhanced user interface and new reporting options. And Epicentral SE, that allows operators to use the existing bonusing capabilities of their slot management systems to offer bonuses to players as a printed coupon by leveraging Epicentral’s Print Manager and Design Center modules. It also provides for an upgrade path to a full Epicentral implementation should an operator seek to expand their promotion and bonusing options beyond the capabilities of their existing slot management system.
TransAct will also demonstrate at AGE 2017 an array of its award-winning Epic gaming device printers, self-service kiosks and lottery installations, including: Epic 950, Epic Table Top Enclosure, Epic 883®, Epic 430 and Epic 3000®.
