“There is enthusiasm for the potential of new markets like Brazil”
(Exclusive interview).- Konami shared with Focus Gaming News its further steps in Latin American markets.
Latin American and Caribbean gaming industry is expecting revolutionary events next month. With the beginning of Juegos Miami today and the upcoming Peru Gaming Show, Konami –distinguished gaming leader in the region– analyses the future plans in the emerged markets. Eduardo Aching, vice president and international sales manager at Konami, talked about the company’s vision of the further expectations.
What is the biggest goal Konami tries to meet at Peru Gaming Show?
Annually at Peru Gaming Show, we’re focused on listening to market needs, challenges, and opportunities in order to deliver our international customers the very best in service and future gaming products. We have had the privilege of developing great long-term partnerships with our customers across Latin America, and PGS is an excellent opportunity to explore the real-time pulse of this important region.
Additionally this year we have a central purpose to greatly expand momentum for Concerto across the area. We have realized exceptional popularity and performance for the product since placement began in late 2015, with demonstrated success that we look forward to bringing to operators at every casino worldwide.
What vision has Konami on Latin American markets?
Latin America maintains a strong importance across Konami’s business. Just last year, we completed the expansion of our Las Vegas headquarters with unprecedented enhancements to our manufacturing and R&D facilities especially; in part to bring greater growth and support across international jurisdictions. Through 2016, our customers in Latin America can expect to see a stronger, faster release schedule of our very latest KP3+ products and a highly competitive focus from the Konami team and its exclusive international distributors to get the games on their casino floor with the utmost quality and efficiency.
Does Konami analyze to get into new markets in LATAM?
Certainly there is great enthusiasm for the potential of new markets like Brazil. We hold close continual watch on those opportunities. And in whatever geography, Konami’s interest is to uphold accountability and responsible legislation. Should new jurisdictions emerge in the coming months or years, Konami stands ready to support those markets with the products and technology they need to succeed.
Will there be any new release this year?
Our new Concerto is one of the industry’s most anticipated new slot games arriving at Peru Gaming Show this year. As a new successor to the Podium cabinet, Concerto has undoubtedly shown strong performance right out of the gate. Konami’s latest top-performing KP3+ platform games will be at the Peru event including Chili Chili Fire, Dragon’s Law Twin Fever, Wonder Rose, Radiant Queen, Phoenix Princess, and Freya’s Magic. Additionally, we will be demonstrating the cabinet’s compatibility with proven KP3 platform titles such as Dragon’s Law and Solstice Celebration.
Is Konami thinking on special products for LATAM markets?
We have an excellent array of new game releases slated for Latin America—spanning base games, progressives, and more—for the purpose of empowering those regions with the greatest diversity of quality product for their business. We’re thrilled to be able to bring these to our customers attending PGS and look forward to sharing the latest Konami has to offer for all in attendance.
