The Westgate Las Vegas joins list of casinos opening at full capacity
The list of Las Vegas casinos allowed to open at full capacity continues to grow with the addition of the Westgate.
US.- The Westgate Las Vegas Resort and Casino has announced it has received the green light to open at full capacity under the Nevada Gaming Control Board‘s easing of measures for Las Vegas casinos.
The Gaming Control Board approved the venue’s proposal on Friday night, Westgate VP of public relations and community affairs Gordon Prouty said.
He said: “We’re continuing to increase the number of team members who are vaccinated. We have on-property vaccinations available for team members and their families.
“The plexiglass from the gaming tables will be removed. That’ll be a visible difference right there, and I think you’ll notice the crowds, we’ll be able to put more people at the gaming tables and there will be more people on the casino floor.”
Nevada no longer requires the use of masks inside venues, but individual casinos can choose whether to require masks at their venues. Westgate has decided to keep the measure for now.
It said: We are going to require our team members to continue to wear masks. We are asking our guests to continue to wear masks as well in order to keep us all safe.”
The Westgate joins several other casinos that can open at full capacity: the Strat, Wynn and Encore, and the Cosmopolitan. Other venues continue operating at 80 per cent capacity until the majority of staff have been vaccinated
