Tribal gaming revenue increases during FY2019 in Arizona

The local gaming regulator revealed that tribal gaming contributions increased during the second quarter of the current fiscal year.

US.- The Arizona Department of Gaming (ADG) released the latest financial report, which shows that quarterly tribal gaming contributions increased for the state’s second quarter of the current fiscal year, generating almost US$27 million.

The ADG said that contributions from gaming revenue will be approximately US$26.9 million for the quarter, representing a 2% increase when compared to the same quarter last year. As established by the Arizona Tribal-State Gaming Compact, tribes with casinos contribute 1% to 8% of their Class III gross gaming revenue to the state, cities, towns and counties. There are currently 24 Class III casinos in Arizona, which ADG regulates with Arizona tribes.

“We are pleased to see continued growth in tribal gaming contributions for the second quarter of Fiscal Year 2019,” said Daniel Bergin, Director of the Arizona Department of Gaming. “This seventh consecutive quarter of growth is a strong reflection of our State’s healthy economy.”
