Star Vegas to add VIP gaming tables

The Cambodian casino revealed that over the next few months approximately 100 VIP gaming tables will be added.

Cambodia.- Donaco International, the company that operates the Star Vegas casino in Cambodia, announced that 100 gaming tables will be added to the offering in the next few months. The news were revealed during a filing to the ASX on Monday.

“The international expansion will make use of the currently underutilized space at the property, and represents a new source of incremental revenue in FY17 and beyond,” said the company, as AGBrief revealed. The facility is currently trying to market the property to a new group of international VIPs, and as part of the transition to take full control of the operations, the company is changing the terms with Thai junket business.

Donaco estimates that earnings from the VIP portion of the Star Vegas business in the first quarter of FY18 will be lower than the corresponding months last year. Moreover, no impact on the mass gaming business is expected. Earlier this year, Donaco revealed that for fiscal year 2017 US$61 million are expected to be reported in EBITDA.
